Transformation vs. Avoidance: The Lie of Misperception of the Self

We all have traumas and have built an arsenal on how to protect ourselves and avoid the things that have caused us pain in the past so that we can attempt to not have to deal with it in the present or the future.

However, the reality is this: The trauma is going to keep making an appearance because we refuse to accept it, face it, truly understand it and learn the lesson before it dissipates and becomes a source of Light to help another.

The truth is that some of us would rather bury it, and not face it at all, while others acknowledge the surface reasons and avoid the deep seated issues that keep coming up. Both of these are Avoidance Responses and they don't get to the root of the issue because of a more succinct and devastating emotion: FEAR.

Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of loss, fear of not being seen/heard, you name it, it's lurking in the shadows, betting on the fact that all you'll do is come up with an excuse as to why you should avoid it.

Avoidance prevents you from confronting your anxiety, or the thing you fear that’s holding you back, and growing past it. Transformation allows you to face your fears, allowing it to shed Light on that doubt that eats a hole in your mind like a termite gnawing at wood. Transforming a fear into a strength brings closure to trauma.

When you face the fear of not being "good enough," "smart enough" "pretty enough," "rich enough,"fill-in-the-blank enough," the World and your Spirit become renewed.

Only you can determine what's "good enough" based on your own level of creativity, thinking, and expertise. If you allow someone else's version of what's "good enough" to stop you from studying more, learning more, and applying it so that you grow and Ascend, then you're adding to your own trauma of overcoming misguided fear.

When you truly face the issue of your trauma, whether by getting professional help or through a Spiritual Enlightenment journey, you will find that the trauma and the underlying

fear associated with it, is/was holding you back from becoming who and what you really want to be.

Face your fears and realize that it's not the external World that's stopping you from realizing your dreams and aspirations, but rather, it's your own limiting beliefs that have you locked in a terrordome of guilt, self doubt/loathing, anxiety and distress.

Only you can determine who you want to become. Don't allow fear to continue feeding you the Lie of Misperception of the Self. Your traumatic experiences are lessons that teach you how to transcend the Darkness within and become a Beacon of Victory for not only yourself, but for others as well.
