Surrender. The Universe is asking you to surrender. Surrender to your Spirit, surrender to your mate, surrender to the FLOW. When we are asked to let go and let another lead, the thought of giving others authority can be uncomfortable. What we grapple with isn't control. It's trust. As individuals, we want and/or need to control every aspect of our own lives-- From what we eat to who gets to see us as we truly are. However, there comes a time when your Spirit wants-no-asks for you to surrender to what and WHO you are on the inside.
Spirit will compel you to shed who you think you want to be and leads you on a strange and sometimes lonely path to who you really are, to your true dreams and to your REAL PURPOSE. Sometimes that purpose is something so far out of your comfort zone that you balk at the steps Spirit is asking you to take.
Enter meditation. Here, in this space, you can commune with the Divine. The Divine comes in Male or Female Energy depending on the part of you that needs strengthening or smoothing out. To be whole, the Female/Male Energy must be balanced inside each and every one of us. If the Divine Masculine calls you to surrender, then it is something you must do. If the Divine Feminine calls you to do so, it is also something you must do. Look at is as if your parents called you to do something for them and you respond with immediacy to perform the task they ask of you without question. We trust our parents instinctively. Why not trust your Spirit? Your chosen mate? Why not trust the FLOW?
Surrender is not about giving someone else control. It is about trust. To surrender to another can be an ultimate decision to allow the flow of energy to allow you to let them do what they want snd need to do for you. The act of surrender allows them to be free to trust you as well, because, you see, it goes both ways. When you allow another to be who they want and need to be with you, you are also giving yourself permission to be who you want and need to be with them. Surrender gives you a true sense of security. Isn't that what we all want? Security: To be able to trust another without fear of manipulation or abuse?
Letting go and allowing another to lead is paramount to having balance in any relationship. Mother/daughter, father/son, boyfriend/girlfriend, girlfriend/girlfriend, boyfriend/boyfriend and employee/employer relationships all run on the Female/Male Energy dynamic. Remember it's ENERGY not gender, we're referring to here. When you reconcile this fact, things can be seen from a much higher perspective.
Making decisions can be a much easier process and a simple conversation can be a truly SIMPLE conversation when we recognize the dynamics of Male/Female ENERGY and how it fits into the conversation, regardless of whether a woman or man is speaking. Always focus on the ENERGY of what is being said/done and not who's saying/doing it.
In the end, we all can't be the leader and it's more than OK to be the follower as long as the designated leader is moving you both to higher, more stable ground.
